A good type of mortgage is the closed type. You do not have the opportunity to pay in advance, so you do not have the flexibility to sell your house whenever you want. The advantage here is that the interest you will have to pay is the lowest you can find on the Ottawa mortgage market.
The split mortgage is an interesting type. If you choose it, you will pay one half of the money under different conditions than the other half. In the beginning, the interest may be higher than in the end. The important thing about this type of mortgage is that you may have the chance to elongate the period to repay the mortgage.
Do not ignore the interest. The Ottawa mortgage market offers two types of rates. If you choose a variable rate you may be overcharged in the end because the interest may become higher. The mortgages with protected variable rate have limited interest rate. From a certain point onwards, your interest cannot increase.
